Senior Pastor

Pastor Haqq, who has a Ph.D. in physics, came to this area to teach and do research in physics at UMass. After several years, it became clear that the Lord had another plan for his life as he became involved with establishing a body of believers at Dwight Chapel. After a period of training, he was ordained by the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference. He has served as pastor for over 40 years and enjoys sneaking science into his sermons whenever possible. An important part of his ministry has been his leadership at the All India Institute for Evangelism where he combines his knowledge of science and Scripture to help equip lay leaders to reach India with the gospel. He and his wife Jill have four adult children and seven grandchildren and make their home in Belchertown.  

Assistant Pastor

Assistant Pastor Tyler Pedersen grew up in Marblehead, Massachusetts. He graduated from the University of Miami in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Classics. After completing his undergraduate studies, Tyler worked as a freelance drummer in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2020, he graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Theology, and in 2022 he completed his studies with a Master of Divinity degree. While pursuing these degrees, he developed a passion for teaching, preaching, and serving the local church. In his free time he enjoys listening to music, drumming, reading, and engaging in lively conversation with friends.

Administrative Assistant

Jackie helps with many of the administrative duties at CCC including paperwork and paying bills but is also blessed to be able to help organize ministries and be in contact with many members of the church. She and her husband, Rocco, live in Belchertown with their three children.

Secretary

Pat has been helping in the church office since August of 2012. She and her husband, Warren, are members and have attended since September, 2009.

Gaby and Dan lead the charge in providing an environment where teenagers not only learn and grow in their faith but have fun doing it! They have a real love for teens and want to connect with and assist each teen as they grow in their walk with the Lord. Weekly Bible studies combined with fun activities, a yearly retreat, and lots of laughter make Youth Group the highlight of the week for many of our teens. The Millers live in Ware with their adorable daughters. 

Joanna serves the congregation at CCC as the Worship Team leader. In addition to organizing music and directing the team, she loves to encourage them, build relationships, and use her sense of humor to keep things fun! Joanna lives in Belchertown with her husband Josh and their four children. 

Mary and her husband, Dan, make their home in Belchertown along with their three beautiful children. Mary has a passion for children's ministry and is working to serve the needs of the many families and their children that attend each week.

Mike is our resident handy man who takes care of all sorts of maintenance jobs around the church building to keep things in tip top shape.

More than just a job, Becky views cleaning the church is a calling from the Lord and is her passion. This is evidenced by the quality of her work and her willingness to keep her schedule flexible in response to the needs at the church. Her husband, Dennis, is always willing to chip in and lend a hand when needed. They live in Belchertown in Becky’s childhood home.
